Finally got to scanning these sketches I’ve had in my Notebook.

(Blade:More Practice with Loose Leaf. Trying to nail any personal aspects that might help shape the character. Not having too many grand ideas with this one. :I
Also trying to spruce up the color scheme so it doesn’t feel too de-saturated while trying to not go overboard with it. Not too sure what to do with it or what to do with the tail (I didn’t get around to it…) and the hairstyle. I finally got around to designing the Cutie Mark only to find myself dumbfounded as to what to make to represent ‘Mythology’. Figured the Windigos were the closest thing mentioned to canon mythology so far so I went with that. I’ll most likely change it around a bit more until I feel comfortable with it. I’d gladly welcome any feedback at this point.)
Alrighty everyone! One more update to go, and I begin a rather large event in the storyline, which I have been planning… pretty much since I began the story.I won’t give too much away, but it involves a lot of crowd scenes, and as much as I love designing ponies, even I can’t manage this.
So! You wanna be a part of this event? Send me a reference! And it will involve couples, so if you have somepony in mind, send me their reference as well!
Keep in mind these will only be small features, so if your OC is super-duper complex, you probably won’t be chosen ^^’

(Blade Here: Finally got around to finishing the re-design of Popi Blitz. Except now I’m thinking I might need to re-name him because I changed the Cutie mark D:
I’m sooooo glad I finished with the Color Theory class for this semester, it’s really helping me feel a lot more adventurous with colors and color schemes!
And I must say, this is by far the piece I’m proudest of so far. makes me feel like the past nine months have actually been worth something!
Also, hint on the cup as to another pony that will most likely be coming soon!)
(Blade here: So, I watched the new Season of MLP today, big surprise there. While watching it I got a few ideas I’ve been kicking around in my head, mainly the differences and similarities between regular ponies and Crystal ponies. The only difference visually seems to be the gradient colorings and gem shaped eye highlights. This got me thinking to possibly create a different kind of pony to match the way SB’s family follow heritage based on the markings they tattoo themselves with. I had gotten an idea like this when I heard some artist I follow talking about the ‘Twice As Fancy’ ponies from G1 that had repeating cutie marks. That’s just the backing I had for my idea, although I’m not sure if I’ll follow up on it. I will definitely finish this tomorrow morning, but now for sleep.
And I fail at Braids and pillows…orz)
